Who Do We Provide Supports To?

Individuals who require clinical supports for both behavioral and medical needs

BMR Program: Designed specifically to serve individuals who have complex needs in both the behavioral as well as medical area, BBH’s “Behavioral and Medical Residential Program” includes enhanced behavioral programming, nursing, and enhanced direct care staffing.  This program consists of three homes in close proximity to each other (to allow for shared clinical resources) on Pancoast Rd., Woolwich Township, New Jersey.

Individuals who have problematic sexual behaviors

IDPSB:  Bellwether believes that Individuals living with Intellectual Disabilities and a Problematic Sexual Behavior(s) (IDPSBs) can successfully live, work and enjoy a meaningful and productive life in the communities they reside.  This belief is from our organization’s expertise in crafting individualized and specialized support services that address the whole person and not just the problematic sexual behavior.

We provide services for those exhibiting complex and extreme behavioral disorders, which include aggression, self-injurious behavior, sexually inappropriate behavior, fire setting, property destruction and other problems that significantly interfere with daily living and learning. We assist individuals in overcoming those challenges through evidenced-based, individualized, comprehensive treatment programs, which include:

  • Expertly-designed behavioral, medical, and transitional programming

  • Special education

  • Functional skill acquisition

  • Community participation

  • Habilitation and vocational training

  • Supported employment

  • Family involvement

  • Counseling

Unlike many other programs, our individuals need not choose between a program that specializes in behavioral services or one that can provide necessary medical services. Bellwether Behavioral Health’s Behavior Medical programs in  New Jersey provide both comprehensive behavioral treatment as well as medical treatment services for numerous conditions associated with IDD, dual diagnoses and behavioral challenges including:

  • Insulin-dependent diabetes

  • Seizure disorders

  • Tuberous sclerosis

  • Feeding/swallowing difficulties

  • Cardiac complications

  • Respiratory disorders
